I bring a unique blend on marketing expertise and web development that insures a real understanding of what it takes to build a successful online presence.
Online marketing begins with a website, and it is here that I begin my search for ‘the path of ‘least resistance. This is simply an acknowledgement that visitors are conditioned to make a quick exit. Their finger is ready to click away the instant they arrive.
My task is to prevent this by creating a path that takes them to an interior page – rather than back to Google.
I judge a website using three different measures:
Design: Is the design contemporary? Does it support the underlying message of your website? Are the graphics and images in harmony with one another? When the answers are no to these and other similar questions, the fix can often be fairly quick.
Marketing: after learning what the marketing goals of the website are, I first determine if those goals are clearly expressed. This is normally called the value proposition, and sometimes the unique selling proposition. I then check if a sales funnel exists, supported by calls to action.
There is more to the marketing analysis, but these basics are so important – and so often overlooked – that quite often they are the beginning and ending of my evaluation.
